Dr. Remya graduated from the Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University with a Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (B.A.M.S.) in 2003.  She worked as Consultant Physician in charge of Panchakarma Treatments at Theertha Hospital (Mala, Thrissur) from 2004 to 2005 and in the same role at SD Pharmacy Hospital (Changanachery) in 2006. 

Since 2007, Dr. Remya has served as a medical officer at KA Hospital (Aluva).  Her specialization has been treating skin disorders, digestive problems, and diabetes using the Keraleeya Panchakarma System.  She has experience in applying the following treatments: Nasyam, Kashaya Vasty, Mathravasty, Vamana, Virechana, Thalam, Shirovasty, Pathrapotalaswedam, Shashtikapindaswedam, Churnaswedam, and Pizhichil.
